Club History

The Wrecking Crew Wrestling Club was formed in 1993 by a small group of coaches who saw a need to provide a better practice environment for the experienced and talented junior wrestlers of Burlington and Camden counties. The Team was loosely formed under the umbrella of the Grapevine League. As the club grew and Wrecking Crew wrestlers moved on to high school, there was a growing need to find a permanent location in order to provide year-round practices for the more dedicated athletes.

In the spring of 1997, with the considerable help of Gsell Moving and Storage in Mount Holly, along with donations of labor, material, and financing from our parents and coaches, the Wrecking Crew moved into its current home in Mount Holly. Today, the Wrecking Crew offers year-round instruction for both the elementary and high school wrestler in Scholastic, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman style of wrestling. No longer confined to Burlington and Camden counties, the Wrecking Crew draws students from all over South and Central Jersey, and can boast of having some of the best instructors on the East Coast.

Facility

The Wrecking Crew's warehouse facility is located on E. Monroe Street in Mount Holly, NJ, across from the Little League Baseball complex. Proceed down Monroe Street (which is a one-way street heading west) for one-tenth of a mile. The parking lot for the baseball complex is on the left - Wrecking Crew is located in the far end of the white factory building on the right (look for the Wrecking Crew Wrestling Academy sign on the gate).

Directions

Heading East on Rt. 38: Take Rt. 38 to the Lumberton Plaza shopping center. Make a right turn at light and take jug handle back across Rt. 38, follow to Pine Street (Mt. Holly Business District). Take Pine Street north for one-half of a mile. You will go by a cemetery on the left, and cross the Rancocas Creek. Make a left onto Monroe Street, follow to Wrecking Crew (one-tenth of a mile on right).

Heading West on Rt. 38: Take Rt. 38 past the Evergreen Plaza shopping center. Bear right before the light at McDonalds and follow to Pine Street (Mt. Holly Business District). Take Pine Street north for one-half of a mile. You will go by a cemetery on the left, and cross the Rancocas Creek. Make a left onto Monroe Street, follow to Wrecking Crew (one-tenth of a mile on right).

Heading South on Rt. 541: Take 541 south into Mt. Holly until you can go no further. Take a left onto Mill Street, and follow to the next traffic light at Pine Street. Make a right onto Pine Street, go two blocks to Monroe Street on the right. Make a right onto Monroe Street, follow to Wrecking Crew (one-tenth of a mile on right).
